Secure Meter Data Acquisition System

Readings from energy meters are required by generation companies, energy suppliers, landlords and consumers of all sizes. Meter readings are used for commercial settlement, energy accounting, energy auditing, load profiling and calculating equivalent values for carbon dioxide emissions.

It is not always cost-effective for an interested party to install, operate and collect data from the most appropriate type of energy meter. Sometimes the cost of reading meters may be too high, owing to difficulties in accessing them, or the cost of the infrastructure may be prohibitive.

Our solution is to provide access to metering data, so that our customers do not need to worry about installing, operating or reading meters. We make sure that the necessary readings are collected and stored in a database, or we can supply data in the most appropriate format in consultation with our customers.

We deploy the most appropriate technology for collecting data, depending on the topography, type and number of meters installed for a given application. We can use any combination of manual meter reading, hand-held units, GSM/GRPS telephony, wireless or distribution line carrier (DLC).
