One of the most factors that makes energy conservation so difficult worldwide is that individual consumers have little understanding of their energy consumption and are therefore are not able to make savings in energy, cost or associated emissions.

A central part of our solution is the ‘in-home display’ (IHD) which is installed in a consumer’s premises and provides information on consumption, cost and emissions in real time. The IHD works with electricity, gas or dual-fuel metering and also provides historical trend information.

The energy meters communicate with the IHD using wireless or distribution line carrier (DLC) technologies. The supplier can also access metering data via a communications gateway which can be used for data collection, prepayment implementation or load control.
