STARS
STARS is the software for online ABT monitoring. It is offered as a part of a full solution, a central monitoring software which communicates with the ABT meters installed at different points in the grid. The different entities in the ABT regime, i.e. power generators and beneficiaries are defined in the software. All the ABT metering points can be defined by the user. By defining a ‘virtual meters’ it is possible to aggregate the parameters with respect to a substation, area or the whole utility using the software.
The unscheduled interchange (UI) rate can be revised by a authorised user. Online monitoring can be done in multiple windows which can be set up by the user. At the end, the complete UI report is generated including the energy exchange, frequency, UI rate and the calculated payable and receivable amount in rupees as per the ABT norms.
