GSM/GPRS

We have used modems since the very earliest days of two-way communications using Public Switched Telephone Networks (PSTN). This formed the basis for remote meter reading systems for many years and enabled us to build up a wealth of experience in how to collect large volumes of data and how to cope with faults and errors. We were one of the first meter manufacturers to implement remote meter reading via GSM mobile telephone technology. Some of our meters are available with integral or fully integrated GSM modems, but nearly all of our meters can interface with external modems. Migration from GSM to GPRS is a natural progression which we have embraced fully.
