Prodigy is the name of our family of three-phase thread-through meters, designed for metering distribution transformers or consumer premises. The innovative feed-through design removes the need for external CTs, voltage connectors, terminal blocks and associated wiring. Prodigy is easier and quicker to install than traditional meters and is much more resistant to tampering or accidental damage.
As well as providing traditional metering features, Prodigy helps in transformer monitoring and fault analysis by detecting and recording supply abnormalities such as voltage sags and swells, under or over-load conditions and supply status.
The large backlit LCD screen can be configured to auto-scroll via push buttons on the front panel, enabling it to be manually read even when mounted out of reach. The LCD shows phase-wise current and voltage values, together with special indicators for phase presence, and has a high-resolution display for energy.
Various communications options are available on the models in the family.
The basic Prodigy model provides revenue protection features for consumer tariff applications, including anomaly detection.
Prodigy LPR
This model has an integral low-power radio (LPR) module and is an ideal solution for automatic meter reading of pole-mounted distribution transformers. Prodigy LPR operates in the license-free 2.4 GHz band
Prodigy GSM
Prodigy GSM enables meter data transfer to the central station through the GSM communications network. The data transfer is fast and can be set up for automatic collection via a pre-defined schedule.
