The volume of data from energy metering systems can be overwhelming for energy suppliers and consumers. Accurate invoices need to be presented in a timely manner in order to maintain cash flow, but first, errors in meter readings need to be spotted and corrected. Conditions that fall outside normal patterns, arising from equipment failure, data corruption or tampering, need to be detected.
Our service provides the dedicated expertise required in order to verify consumption data, using consumption trends built up for each installation.
Fraud detection and tamper analysis are important parts of our service, in which we analyse event data logged by the meters. This requires a high degree of forensic skill, by which we are able to determine, with a high degree of certainty, the amount of energy that may have been stolen while a tamper was applied.
We also offer comprehensive analysis of load survey data, instantaneous parameters and billing history data. This provides visibility of parameters such as violations of contract demand and power factor, as well as loading patterns and usage profiles which help in the identification of corrective actions.
