Liberty Credit Management System
Liberty is the name of our credit management system and the electricity and gas meters that work with it to provide a complete payment solution for energy suppliers.
We offer a complete family of energy meters, ranging from intelligent gas meters with integral shut-off valve to three-phase electricity meters with remote disconnection facility.
Liberty meters also form the base of our smart meter range and can be integrated with home energy control systems.
Consumers benefit from credit management facilities and displays that help them budget effectively.
The credit and data management infrastructure provides a fully integrated solution, allowing suppliers to offer credit or prepayment facilities to consumers for gas, electricity or dual-fuel supplies. Credit can be transferred via numeric codes that can be entered manually by the consumer, using keypads on in-home displays or on the meters themselves. Numeric codes can also be used to change tariff details, load limiting and other configuration settings.
The Liberty system uses Triple-DES encryption techniques to ensure data security. Energy suppliers use client links to the encryption server, which uses Retail Network Services Providers (RNSP) protocol for flexibility. Access to the database and encryption server is managed via a firewall security system using mapped IP addresses.
