Large industrial and commercial consumers need to account for their energy consumption. This is often split across several sites, each of which may have multiple points of consumption. In a well ordered system most of the energy should be consumed in doing useful work, but some losses are inevitable.
Energy accounting and auditing are mandated through legislation in many parts of the world. These practices are gaining importance because of environmental concerns and the financial cost of losses and waste.
We take readings and load profile data from the consumer’s energy meters, use this information to generate meaningful on-line reports from which informed decisions on improving energy efficiency can be determined.
The reports that we make available on-line enable our bureau service customers to:
- Identify energy consumption by use
- Identify how much energy is being wasted, and where
- Verify supply bills
- Investigate reliability of supply for mains and captive generation
A luxury hotel in India wanted comprehensive information about the energy consumption and its trend mapped with the source of supply.
The automated meter reading system installed by us and the information provided by it led to a saving of Rs. 0.5 million. They were able to reduce their dependence on the diesel generator, reducing the total energy costs.
